Identification in hand sample:
Low specific gravity distinguishes it from galena, as does colour. Lustre also indicative.

Associations:
Common in hydrothermal sulfide deposits. Associated with galena, pyrite, chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite.

Industrial / ecomonic uses:
